2015 Team Preview: Brampton Royals 16u

Team Name: Brampton Royals 16u
Head Name: John Milani
2015 Record: 31-15-1
League: Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO)
League Finish: Third in Midget Elite League

Last Years Accomplishments:

  • 2015 Eliminations Finalist
  • 2015 Provincial Semi-Finalist
  • 2015 Brampton AAA Tournament Champions
  • 2015 USA Travel Sports World Series Semi-Finalist

Team Strengths: Will be able to have a strong surplus of depth with the starting pitching. The catchers will play key roles as they look to become leaders of the team to complement their skill set. Should be able to have an offensive team with combination of power and speed, whiling being able to have good at-bats and make lots of contact.

Weaknesses of Team: Will look for more depth coming out of the bullpen to provide late inning help and with many new faces, familiarity and cohesiveness within the club is the biggest concern.

Coach Outlook: “We look to build on our successful 2015 season and project to be a top team in the EBLO this coming summer.”

General Notes: Brampton looks to continue to build on a successful 2015 with a relatively new crop of players coming on board. It will give guys an opportunity to step and play certain roles that will likely determine where the sit in the EBLO in 2016. Always a competitive team, the Royals will be one to keep in an eye on in the EBLO loop this summer.
