2016 OUTLOOK
"We have a whole new look this year. We have two very talented incoming transfers, and 3 seniors who are back out for baseball after taking a year off. We have a very strong core group of baseball players returning from our district championship team a year ago, who are all bigger, faster, and stronger, and they are hungry to get back out and compete on the diamond. When you add our “new guys” to the mix, we should be a pretty fun team to watch compete this summer. We were 90 feet away from the state tournament last year, and won a district championship starting 4 and sometimes 5 freshman per game.  Our guys are hungry, and are working extremely hard. We have high expectations this year and should be a fun group to watch compete this summer! We have a very difficult schedule again this year. We play 8 4A schools (Xavier, Clinton, City High, West High, North Scott, CR Wash, Dav West, etc.) and 4 3A schools (Solon, Williamsburg, CCA, Mt. Vernon). We like to compete against the highest level possible to give us the best look so we are ready to compete in the post-season. This should be a fun overall season, and many of the big schools are coming to play us on our home turf, which is an honor and shows the respect these programs have for our baseball program.  We will also compete in the Crosstown Classic again this year against West High at Duane Banks Field – all proceeds go to the Flash Foundation, and it is a great event for our community." Head Coach Jeff Pacha
