2018 Outfielders Having A Strong Fall

By Justin Burgess

Last week, we featured a few 2018 infielders who were performing well at recent events. Now, we shift the focus to outfielders, as we highlight a few 2018 outfielders who have a combination of tools that makes them attractive to college coaches. These players possess a couple of above-average tools for their age, do not strike out much, and will only get better with added strength and maturity. Here are three young men who have shown well this fall in events with some of the better travel organizations in the state:

Hunter Cole, OF, West Orange HS, FL
Cole stands at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds with a lean and athletic body with strength. He shows good rhythm at the plate with an advanced approach and nice swing plane. Not only does Cole consistently square up quality pitching, but he is also a switch-hitter who hits consistent line drives all over the field. Cole will be an asset to a talented West Orange squad.
