TOP UNCOMMITTED 2025's

Tre Bryant 3B / RHP / Jackson Prep, MS / 2025

"Got his first base hit of the year on Tuesday night as he connected on a double down the left field line. The uncommitted Future Gamer found a pitch a little up and in and used his quick bat to get extended and drove the baseball over the third baseman for an run scoring double. Look for Bryant to be used in multiple positions for the Patriots this spring including toeing the rubber as yet another go to arm for Prep." (2/6/24) -Matt Miller, State Director

Gage Thompson RHP / SS / Oak Grove , MS / 2025

"Was a Future Games participant this past summer though he was dealing with some slight arm soreness. On Saturday at MGM Park in Biloxi, the sophomore showed everyone the reason for the invite to Atlanta. Thompson was 85-86 mph (T87) with late life. The breaking ball is what sets him apart though as the sharp action was back and up to 2600 spin rate. Also serving as the teams shortstop, Thompson serves as a solid dual threat prospect." (2/18/22) -Matt Miller, State Director

Gardner Young LHP / OF / Jackson Prep, MS / 2025

"Was fairly solid in his first outing on the mound in 2024. The still uncommitted Future Gamer shook off a little early rust and finished his 3 inning stint with no problem. Young worked his running fastball in the 86-88 mph range which could increase a few miles per hour as the weather begins to warms up. The lefty also used his 12/6 tumbling curveball primarily back door to righties with plenty of awkward takes and swings. Look for Young to be a another go to arm this season as the Patriots try to claim yet another MAIS 6A state title." (2/6/24) -Matt Miller, State Director

Gabriel Hodges RHP / OF / Northwest Rankin , MS / 2025

"Showed off some dual threat potential on Tuesday night as the young right hander started on the mound for the Cougars. Hodges worked his fastball in the mid 80's and up to 87 mph on the night. His fastball ran really well on the hands of several right handed hitters creating soft contact multiple in at bats. Hodges used a still developing breaking ball to keep hitters in check. He also helped himself out with a double during the game using a well balanced swing and line drive, middle of the field approach." (2/28/22) -Matt Miller, State Director

Cannon Hensarling RHP / 3B / OCEAN SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL, MS / 2025

"Stepped up to the mound and made everyone pay attention. The rising junior from Ocean Springs worked up to 89 with ease on Tuesday during game play, while rarely dipping below 88 mph. Hensarling showed very good arm side run which made squaring anything up hard for opposing hitters. He also had good feel for a slider that had late biting action which also got plenty of swing and misses. The 2025 is a solid dual prospect that could be locked up by this fall." (6/15/23) -Matt Miller, State Director

Jackson Moore 3B / RHP / Tishomingo County , MS / 2025

"Moore, a former PBR Junior Future Games participant, was in-line to receive a Future Games invite before elbow surgery ended his 2023 season. The uncommitted junior is still recovering and in the middle of his throwing program, though on Saturday it was evident the bat was back and ready to put some fear in the minds of opposing pitchers. Using a mostly pull side approach, Moore found plenty of barrels with upper 90’s exit velocities including an event high of 102 mph. As his arm continues to strengthen look for him to eventually hold down the hot corner once again." (1/29/24) -Matt Miller, State Director

Ethan Barnes C / SS / MAGNOLIA HEIGHTS SCHOOL, MS / 2025

"Barnes was so good behind the plate for Easley Baseball’s 2025 group in its run to the semi-finals of the 15U, that it nearly overshadowed a week in which he went 5-for-11 with three extra-base hits and was on base more than half the time. Built with lean, defined strength throughout a 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame, Barnes’ athleticism and mobility are apparent behind the dish along with advanced receiving capabilities, and what was the best catch-and-throw that I saw from any catcher on the week. At the plate, a simple upright setup and short stride allow the hands to load freely down and back before quickly working the barrel through the zone on a flat path. There is more power on the way and with the bat working short-to-long through the zone, expect Barnes to continue trending up in coming years." (6/20/22) Shooter Hunt, Vice President, Scouting

Ethan Walker C / 1B / Purvis, MS / 2025

"Has emerged in to one of the top catching prospects in the 2025 class in Mississippi and on Tuesday and Wednesday we got an extended look at how much he has developed. Using quick feet and transfers, along with a strong arm (77 mph) from behind the plate Walker turned in solid pop times ranging from 1.91 to 2.09 with next level blocking and receiving skills. At the plate Walker keeps his hands inside the baseball well with a middle to opposite field line drive approach." (6/15/23) -Matt Miller, State Director

Landon Hawkins SS / RHP / Sumrall, MS / 2025

"Had a very solid night as he found the barrel multiple times for the Bobcat offense. Early in the game Hawkins found a pitch on the outer half of the plate and showed some plate coverage and solid use of his hands as he lined a single into right field. Later the uncommitted junior got his pitch middle-in and got some extension out front as he sent another line drive over the left field wall for his first home run of 2024." (2/19/24) -Matt Miller, State Director

Connor Simpson LHP / OF / DESOTO CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL, MS / 2025

Is another top uncommitted prospect in the Mississippi 2025 Class, the Desoto Central dual prospect hit .280 on the spring with 11 XBH. At the plate, Simpson also totaled 25 RBI's, had one home run and would reach base 19 times via a walk. On the mound, posted a 2-1 record, logged 21.2 innings while allowing 16 total hits and striking out 30. We're excited to see Simpson at this summer's top invite-only event, the Magnolia State Games.
