Next Level- 12

Elite Squad Academy- 7

Game Recap

Next Level Academy took game 2 over Elite Squad Academy by a score of 12-7. The sticks showed up for Next Level, with a balanced attack led by 2019 uncommitted 1B Jake Nemith. Nemith doubled and homered, using his big muscular frame and good bat path to drive the ball with backspin. USC Gamecocks commit Michael Braswell led Next Level on defense at SS, making several plays that showed off his solid footwork and quick hands. Braswell has above average range at shortstop and also possesses a strong, accurate arm. Elite Squad showed some advanced bats despite taking the loss, as 2020 uncommitted Lucas Nido went yard in his first plate appearance. Elite Squad also boasted the best arm of the game in RHP Raul Alvarez. The 2019 FSCJ commit was sitting 84-86 MPH and topped at 87 twice. He showed some late arm side run with a slight pause in his delivery that got some Next Level hitters off their timing.
