2020 PBR Future Games: Game 3 Recap

EMERSON, G.A.- Team Texas had a big day at the plate to wrap up the 2020 Future Games defeating Team Mississippi 16-6. 2023 OF Ben Merriman (Bowie), 2023 UTL Blake Peterson (Westlake) and 2022 IF Kolby Branch (Lovejoy) all had multi-hit games with Merriman having 3 RBI and Branch having 2 RBI, both bringing in those runs on doubles.

2022 OF Carson Queck (The Woodlands Christian), 2022 IF Zack Zavala (Georgetown) and 2022 IF Harrison Helton (The Woodland College Park) also had doubles while Zavala was on-base three times with a walk and HBP. 2022 C Matthew Houston (Hallsville) and 2022 OF Coldon Kiser (Frenship) both also had RBI on a single and sacrifice fly respectively. Kiser led the team in the Future Games with 6 RBI.

Got the start for Team Texas on the mound going 2 IP sitting 82-85 mph with natural cut. Curveball was 74-76 mph with power curve shape and 2500 rpm spin rate and changeup was 78-79 mph with arm-side action.

Pierce George, RHP, Lake Travis, 2022
Came in relief out of the bullpen. George was 90-92 mph early and settled in at 88-91 mph through his three innings. Slider was 76-79 mph with sweeping action with 2500 rpm spin rate. Extremely projectable long, loose arm from the 6-5, 200-pound frame.
