Over the next coming weeks the PBR Texas staff plans to continue this segment by taking a look into the remaining mid-majors aka the power majors in the state of Texas. Up first, is a look into the Dallas Baptist Patriots.

DALLAS BAPTIST

The signing class of the Dallas Baptist Patriots, may have a small draft risk in RHP Justin Lange (Llano/ GPS Legends). Physical RHP. 6’4 durable athletic frame. Made significant jump in 2019, adding velo and strength. A long, loose arm that produces easy velo at 92-94 up to 95, and. The right-hander is one of the top non-power five arms in the state that could have an immediate impact for the Patriots if he can find his way to campus. SS Parker Guerin (Lake Travis/ GPS Legends) an athletic infielder that is gamer type player that plays fast with solid baseball actions. Guerins actions, footwork, and hands should allow him to stay on the infield at the next level.

SS Dylan Mach (Aledo/ Arlington A’s) is another athletic framed infielder at 6-foot-3, 173-pounds with solid defensive actions allowing him to stay on the left side of the infield. RHP Jonathan Ramsey (Elysian Fields/ Performance) made a solid impression on our staff at the Texas Limited Series in 2018. The right-hander has a long-limbed frame at 6-foot-2, 165-pounds, works from a high slot with a clean arm stroke with good feel for pitches.

A PBR Future Games participant in 2018 SS/RHP Tyler Talbert (Flower Mound/ D-Bat Elite)  is strong, confident, athletic athlete that has legitimate two-way ability. Moves with easy actions at shortstop and has plenty of arm strength to stay on the left side of the field, but it's footwork and posture as he plays through the ball that suggest he has a future on the infield.
