2023 PBR All-American Game, Spotlight: Tyler Bell

On Saturday, Sept. 23, Prep Baseball Report is hosting its inaugural High School All-American Game at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The unique event will feature the nation’s top high school seniors who are set to battle against a roster of the country’s best juniors in Class of 2024 vs. Class of 2025 action, giving pro scouts a unique look at current and future draft classes.

We’ve begun to unveil the event’s participants on our social media channels, and we’ll spotlight those players more closely on our site, too, highlighting past performances and scouting reports from the live looks we’ve gathered on this gifted group throughout the years.

Next we are highlighting Tyler Bell, a Kentucky commit and the top-ranked position player in Illinois' 2024 class. The switch-hitting shortstop has plenty of helium to his name, leaping over 100 spots in our national rankings since last December. Bell is no stranger to PBR events and has consistently impressed our staff both in workouts and in gameplay. Following a PBR Illinois First Team All-State honor and quality showings throughout multiple looks across the summer, Bell is taking his talents to Milwaukee for the first ever PBR All-American Game.

Ian Smith, a PBR Draft HQ Advisor, had this to say about Bell following his performance at the Area Code Games: "Quietly, the Kentucky commit was outstanding in multiple facets of the game throughout the week. Flashed 60 grade run times down the line (4.08) and jumped all over a first-pitch fastball for a pull-side grand slam. Switch-hitter, but Bell is more advanced from the left-side with ability to create leverage with ease and present bat speed. Soft hands with impressive footwork and range makes me believe that Bell will stick up the middle long term as well."
