2023 PBR KC JUCO Showcase: Takeaways, Position Players

By PBR JUCO Staff

On Sept. 15, the PBR JUCO staff traveled to Kansas City for the second annual PBR KC JUCO Showcase held at the Creekside Complex in Parkville, Mo. In all, there were 18 of the best JUCO programs from the area that met at this event to play in two fall exhibitions in front of our PBR JUCO staff as well as a fleet of four-year recruiting coordinators, as well as some members of the pro scouting community.

On Friday, we published our Takeaways: Pitchers story from this loaded mid-September event. Today, we’re publishing some of the standouts from the batter's box and elsewhere on the diamond from this exciting day trip.

TAKEAWAYS: POSITION PLAYERS

The following players are listed in alphabetical order.

Robbie Bolin, CF, Barton: The left-handed hitting sophomore was a clear standout, showing a simple, balanced approach with quick hands and a direct path to the baseball. Bolin showcased an advanced approach at the plate, paired with quick-twitch athleticism. Clearly he knows what he’s doing in the box, and after contact, he moved with fluidity and ease. Also patrols the outfield athletically with good reads off the bat. Top-of-the-order type hitter who should continue to grow into more power. High-follow prospect.
