Prep Baseball’s Draft HQ last published mock drafts in December and March, and its third mock comes as the calendar flips to May and the 2024 MLB Draft fast approaches. This has been a fascinating group of prospects to follow, considering how uncertain the top of the board looked in the preseason, and what's happened since.

Among the first four players we have mocked below, they've crushed a combined 100 home runs exactly so far this season. College baseball's exhilarating home run race has generated much more interest in this draft than there appeared to be six months ago.

With that said, it'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out in the end. The Cleveland Guardians own the first pick, and they're the exact kind of organization that would get creative with pool money if they don't think there's a franchise-altering choice pick No. 1 among those budding college sluggers, which would allow them to save some money for their next two picks, at Nos. 36 and 48 overall.

The top-10 of this May's mock draft doesn't look drastically different than March's, but it's after those first 10 picks that reflect all that's changed in between then and now.
