Sectional 17: Champion – Griffith

Hammond Clark 7 Hammond Gavit 0 – Marc Juhasz threw a complete game shutout allowing two hits and struck out five. Kyle Gill was 2-4 with three RBI. 

Griffith 15 Hammond 0 – Johnny Maynard and Tim Lawson combined for a five inning no hitter. Maynard struck out 11 in 4.1 innings and Lawson struck out the lone batter he faced. Xavier Romero went 3-4 with two doubles, four RBI, and three runs, Cole Cervantes was 3-4 with a double, RBI, and two runs, and Joe Martoccio was 3-4 with a triple, two RBI, and two runs.

Griffith 7 Hammond Clark 1 – Julian Rutherford threw a complete game to get the win allowing three hits, no earned runs, and struck out seven. Josh Miller was 2-3 with a double and two runs, Cole Cervantes was 2-3 with two RBI and a run, Denny Colomes doubled and drove in a run, Julian Rutherford singld and drove in two, and Xavier Romero was 2-3 with a RBI.

Glenn 12 Hanover Central 2 – Robbie Berger threw all five innings allowing two runs on six hits, striking out three. Mason RYans went 3-4 with a RBI and three runs, Billy Harness went 3-4 with a double, two RBI, and two runs, Lucas Marshman was 3-3 with a RBI and a run, and Jack Vockavich went 2-4 with a triple, two RBI, and atow runs.

Culver Academy 1 Mishawaka Marian 0 – Wilson Bird threw a complete game shutout allowing two hits and struck out two. Hayden Schott was 1-3 with a run.

SB St. Joseph 2 New Prairie 0 – Alex Voss threw a complete game shutout allowing six hits and struck out three. Anthony Carmola doubled and scored and Patrick Farrissee drove in a run. 

SB St. Joseph 2 Culver Academy 0 – Michael Dunkelberger threw a five hit complete game shutout, striking out eight. Alex Voss went 2-4 with a double and a run and Patrick Farrissee was 1-3 with two RBI.

Northwestern 2 Maconaquah 1 – TJ Macaluso threw a complete game allowing one hit, no earned runs, and struck out nine. Breven Sanford went 1-3 with a RBI and a run. 

Benton Central 10 Peru 2 - Elliot Freeland was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs, Taylor Varnado was 2-3 with a double, RBI, and two runs, and Alex Stout was 2-4 with two RBI and a run. Freeland threw six innings allowing two runs on four hits, striking out five. 

Benton Central 3 Northwestern 2 – Koltin Tucker threw five innings allowing five hits, no earned runs, and struck out seven. Alex Thurston got the win throwing two shutout, hitless innings. Payton Hall and Morgan Knotts each had a RBI. 

Western 5 West Lafayette 0 

Western 9 Benton Central 2 – Tyler Kneply struck out seven in three innings allowing one run and no hits. Tyler Burthay went 3-5 with a double and two RBI, Brayden DeWeese was 3-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and a run, and Trevor Fortune was 2-4 with a double, two RBI, and two runs. 

Sectional 21: Champion - NorthWood

West Noble 6 Tippecanoe Valley 3 – Noah Swartz was 2-2 with two RBI, Michael Flores was 1-2 with three RBI, and Daniel Wiley scored twice. Wiley got the win throwing five innings allowing two runs on six hits, striking out nine. 

Lakeland 6 Fairfield 4 – Drew Grossman threw six innings allowing four runs on eight hits. Isaiah Lehman went 1-3 with a RBI and a run and Hunter Frost was 1-2 with a RBI. 

Lakeland 11 West Noble 1 – Isaiah Lehman went 2-3 with a RBI and a run, Kyler Bowers was 1-2 with a RBi and a run, and Kaleb Wadsworth had a single, two RBI, and two runs. Miles Mast threw three innings allowing four hits and no earned runs.

Bishop Dwenger 12 Garrett 5 – Grant Richardson was 2-5 with a homerun and three RBI, Will Staudinger was 2-4 with two RBI and a run, Eddie Morris was 2-4 with a RBI, and Charlie Howe was 1-2 with a RBI and two runs. Richardson got the win in relief throwing two innings allowing one hit, no earned runs, and struck out four. 

FW Concordia 5 Bishop Luers 4 – Drew Bordner was 3-4 with a double, triple, RBI, and a run. Bordner threw the final three innings not allowing a run or a hit, striking out three. 

New Haven 10 Angola 7 

Bishop Dwenger 3 Leo 1 – Tyler Woods threw four innings allowing four hits and no earned runs. Wil Staudinger went 2-3 with a RBI and a run and Eddie Morris doubled and drove in a run. 

FW Concordia 3 New Haven 0 – Treyvin Moss threw a complete game shutout allowing four hits and struck out five. Jaden Parin went 2-3 with a run, Matt Miller was 1-3 with a RBI, Drew Bordner singled and drove in a run, and Jason Schneider was 1-2 with a run. 

FW Concordia 5 Bishop Dwenger 4 – Drew Bordner got the win throwing five innings allowing two runs, two hits, and struck out two. Bordner went 2-3 with a double and two RBI, David Kratzman was 2-3 with a double and two runs, and Jaden Parnin was 2-4 with a run scored.

Norwell 5 Mississnewa 4 – Trevor Wilson went 3-4 with a solo homerun and two runs, Colin Schwartz was 2-4 with a double and two RBI, and Quentin Middleton had a hit and a RBI. Middleton threw the final 3.2 innings allowing two runs on five hits, striking out three. 

Bellmont 5 Marion 2 – Colin Mills went 2-3 with a RBI and a run, Cam Voglewde went 2-3 with a double, triple, RBI, and two runs, and Payton Boyd was 1-3 with two RBI. Nick Teeple threw five innings allowing two runs on six hits and Brady Manis got the win throwing two perfect innings in relief. 

Norwell 7 Bellmont 3 – Levi Long threw five innings allowing two hits, no earned runs, and struck out six. Trevor Wilson doubled twice and scored twice, Garrett Weybright and Garrison Brege each went 1-3 with a RBI and a run, and Caleb Kohler doubled and scored. 

Heritage 16 Columbus City 4 

Norwell 13 Heritage 3 – Garrett Weybright was 2-3 with a RBI and three runs, Caleb Kohler was 2-2 with a double, RBI, and two runs, Ian Clark was 2-3 with two RBI, and Quentin Middleton was 1-3 with a RBI and two runs. Middleton threw all five innings allowing three runs on five hits, striking out three.

Delta 5 Guerin Catholic 2 – Adam Haynes threw a complete game allowing two runs on eight hits, striking out four. Jacob Van Pelt homered, drove in two, and scored twice, Haynes hit a solo homerun, and Aiden Hinds doubled and drove in a run. 

Delta 3 Hamilton Heights 2 – Jacob Van Pelt threw a complete game allowing five hits, no earned runs, and struck out four. Van Pelt was 2-3 with a double and a RBI, Adam Haynes was 2-3 with two runs, and Charlie May was 1-3 with a RBI. 

Yorktown 10 Jay County 6 – Elijah Spears went 4-4 with a run, Brady Horine went 2-4 with two RBI, Jordan Coleman was 2-6 with a RBI and a run, Sullivan Swingley was 1-2 with two RBI, and Brogan Miller doubled and drove in two runs. Cole Barr threw six innings allowing one earned runs, three hits, and struck out nine. 

Yorktown 12 Delta 8 – Carter Durham went 4-5 with two doubles, a triple, three RBI, and two runs, Matt Phillips went 3-4 with three RBI, Brody Mariotti was 2-3 with two RBI and a run, and Cole Barr had a double, RBI, and two runs.

North Montgomery 11 Lebanon 3 – Justin Clary was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs, Bryce Frederick was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and a run, Caleb Donahue was 2-3 with three RBI and a run, and Gregory Pietsch was 2-4 with a double and two RBI. 

Western Boone 2 Crawfordsville 0 – Peyton Young struck out 14 in 6.2 shutout innings allowing two hits. Young was 1-3 with two RBI and Riley Reagan was 1-3 with a run. 

North Montgomery 2 Western Boone 1 – Caleb Donahue threw 6.1 innings allowing one run on five hits, striking out five. Collin Knecht went 3-4, Gregory Pietsch was 2-4 with a doule and a run, and Mitch Merica singled and drove in a run. 

Tri-West 14 Frankfort 4 – Lucas Goodin went 3-5 with a double, grand slam, and four RBI, Derek Wagner was 3-3 with a double, homerun, and two RBI, Nick Rabe was 2-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and two runs, Carter Cooper was 2-4 with a double and three runs, Jarrett Roseboom went 4-5 with a RBI and a run, and Mason Cox was 2-5 with a RBI and two runs, Zach Waters threw four innings allowing four runs, seven hits, and struck out two. 

Tri-West 8 North Montgomery 2 – Nick Rabe threw a complete game allowing two runs on six hits, striking out five. Rabe went 2-3 with a RBI and a run, Derek Wagner was 4-4 with two doubles and a RBI, Zach Waters homered and drove in four, Jarrett Roseboom was 2-4 with two RBI and two runs, and Tanner Freike was 2-3.

Brebeuf 24 Herron 0 – Justin Henlsey hit a grand slam and drove in five, Cam Farren was 2-4 with a double, four RBI, and three runs, Jackson Williams was 3-3 with a triple, two RBI, and two runs, Sean Swenson was 3-5 with a double, four RBI, and three runs, and Will Richman was 3-4 with two RBI and four runs. 

Chatard 3 New Palestine 2 F/9 – Patrick Mastrian singled in the winning run for his second hit of the game, Nico Sowinski was 2-3 with a run, and Matthew Annee singled and drove in a run. Mark Nondorf threw the final six innings allowing one run on two hits and struck out two. 

Brebeuf 9 Chatard 1 – John Nierman threw five shutout innings to get the win allowing one hit and struck out six. Shaine Mitchell was 2-2 with a RBI, Sean Swenson doubled and scored twice, Connor Drews was 1-3 with a RBI and two runs, Bo Richey was 2-4 with a run, and Cam Farren singled and drove in two.

Indian Creek 14 Greencastle 1 – Max Walls went 3-4 with a double, five RBI, and two runs, Dustin Sprong was 2-4 with a double, RBI, and two runs, Jared DeHart was 2-4 with two RBI and two runs, and Dawson Read was 2-2 with two RBI and a run. Eric Braughton struck out five in two hitless, shutout innings. 

Danville 13 Indy Washington 0 – Jackson Wynn hit a grand slam, Tarron Lawson was 2-2 with a solo homerun, Logan Smith was 1-2 with two RBI and two runs, and Colin Rutan was 2-2 with a RBI and a run. Max Schumacher struck out six in three shutout, hitless innings. 

Indian Creek 1 Danville 0 – Trevor Ankney struck out 12 in a complete game shutout allowing just three hits. Cory Grider went 1-1 and Avery Welch scored on a passed ball in the top of the seventh after running for Grider.

Indian Creek 1 Beech Grove 0 – Eric Braughton allowing just two hits in a complete game shutout, striking out 14. Dustin Sprong doubled in Max Walls in the first for the lone run of the game.

Owen Valley 4 Brown County 0 – Chase Bundy threw five shutout innings allowing three hits and struck out three. Ryne Heckman went 3-3 with a double, RBI, and a run, Logan Headle was 2-3 with a RBI and two runs, and Jalen Hodge was 2-4 with a double and a run.

Edgewood 6 West Vigo 5 – Joe Kido was 1-2 with two RBI and a run, Phillip Terrell hit a solo homerun, and Gavin Robinson had a double, RBI, and a run. Connor Morton threw a complete game to get the win, striking out eight. 

Northview 6 Edgewood 3 – Braydon Tucker threw a complete game in the win allowing two earned runs, five hits, and struck out six. Hayden France was 2-3 with a double, two RBI, and a run, Brigham Booe was 3-3, Trey Shaw went 2-4 with a triple and a run, and Matt Clawson was 1-2 with a RBI and a run.

Lawrenceburg 2 Greensburg 1 F/11 – Austin Weimer’s second hit of the game was a walk off RBI singled. Jordan Houze was 3-4 with a double and Trent Hughes was 2-5 with a double and a run. Parker Hahn threw 9.2 innings allowing one run, five hits, and struck out eight. Houze got the win throwing 1.1 perfect innings, striking out two. 

Batesville 5 Connersville 1 – Alex Roell threw a complete game allowing two hits, no earned runs, and struck out four. Logan Mears homered and drove in two, Trey Heidlage was 2-4 with a double, RBI, and a run, Alex McPherson and Lane Oesterling each went 2-3 with a run, and Zach Britton had a double, RBI, and a run. 

South Dearborn 11 Madison 4 – Ethan Getz went 3-5 with a triple, four RBI, and a run, Tristan Rinehart went 2-4 with a RBI and a run, Alex Smith was 2-4 with a double and two RBI, and Tyler Morehead was 2-4 with a double, RBI, and two runs. Smith threw a complete game allowing three earned runs and struck out seven.
