No. 27 Chardon (16-2) took two from Brush in a doubleheader, 10-0 in game one and 11-1 in game two. Chardon banged out 24 hits in 10 innings as it won both games by mercy rule. In the first game, senior John Martillotta, a Toledo recruit, went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI while sophomore Drew Gittins raised his record to 2-0.

The Wildcats' Tim McCoy scored the go-ahead run in the top of the sixth inning on a throwing error and starter Scott Chase held the Green Wave to three hits while striking out five to raise his record to 3-0. Matt Lynch earned a save by striking out the side in the seventh inning. McCoy began the winning rally with a single.
