#2 Elkhart Central 11 South Bend Adams 0 – Cory Malcom got the win on the mound going all six innings allowing two hits and striking out nine. Casey Ianigro was 2-3 at the plate with a double, two RBI, and a run. Tanner Tully hit a solo homerun and Mike Namisnak doubled and drove in three runs.

#4 Penn 3 SB Riley 0 – Chad Whitmer got the complete game win allowing just three hits and striking out 11. Penn got two runs in the bottom of the third off of Caleb Birkey and Tyler Thompson RBI singles. Birkey also doubled in the game.

#7 Homestead 20 Marion 4 – Homestead had four different players get three hits in the game. Brandon Soat was 3-3 with a homerun, four RBI, and three runs; Jake Weber was 3-4 with a double, three RBI, and three runs; Denice was 3-4 with a homerun and four RBI; and Volz was 3-3 with three runs. Zimske was 2-2 with a double, homerun, and two RBI. Weber also got the win on the mound throwing four innings and striking out six.

#16 Mishawaka Marian 2 Mishawaka 1 – Drew Hasler picked up his third win of the year allowing just one hit and one run in six innings of work. Bobby Norell came in for the 7th to pick up the save. Charlie Creighton singled in the bottom of the fourth to break up a 1-1 tie.  

#20 Jeffersonville 3 Providence 0 – Trent Astle was on his game on Monday allowing just one hit and striking out 14 in a complete game shutout. Drew Ellis homered in the 6th inning to extend Jeff’s lead to two.

Hamilton Southeastern 24 Carmel 9 – HSE busted out 17 hits and had 20 RBI in the win. Wes Edrington led the offense going 2-2 with a double, triple, five RBI, and two runs. Sean Green was 3-4 with two RBI and two runs. Justin Striebel was also 3-4 with four runs. Mitch Hansen and Joel Naab both had two hits and drove in three runs. Kyle Fiala was 4-4 with three RBI and three runs for Carmel.

Charlestown 3 Eastern (Pekin) 2 - In a pitcher's duel, Charlestown SR Tregg Scherer outdueled Eastern SR Tre Albertson to lead the Pirates to a victory in the conference opener for both teams.  Scherer pitched a complete game allowing two unearned runs while giving up four hits and striking out nine.  Offensively, the Pirates were led by freshman Drew Reich, who went 2-3 with a run scored. 

Cambridge City 4 Hagerstown 1 - Senior Zac Rea threw his second consecutive complete game to up his season record to 3-0 as he allowed the Tigers just one unearned run on five hits while striking out 10 and walking two.  Randy Stolle, Grant Renforth, AJ Wetzel and Keegan Legear all had doubles to pace the Golden Eagles offense.

Evansville Reitz 5 Evansville Mater Dei 4 - Reitz scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th to beat Mater Dei 5-4. Matt Wargel singled to right with two outs on a 2-2 count for the game winner. Wargel finished 2-4 with two RBI. Vincennes signee Daniel Sander was 3-4 and is now hitting .524 on the season.

Speedway 7 Scecina 6 - Michael McCormick got the no decision going five innings striking out eight, giving up three hits. Sparkplugs battled back led by Nicholas McCormick and Matt Turk, to overtake Scecina in the bottom of the 7th.

Alexandria Monroe 12 Delta 8 – Isaac Mitchell had a big day at the plate going 3-3 with four RBI and a run. Derek Dinehart was 3-4 with a double and three runs scored. Dalten Hamilton finished 2-4 with a double and two RBI.

Angola 5 Garrett 4 – Markus Arnold got the win throwing six innings allowing four hits and two earned runs while striking out four. Skylar Parker was 3-3 with two doubles and Christian Bonham doubled and drove in two runs.

Monrovia 5 Cloverdale 3 – Jeremy Gray had a big game one the mound going all seven innings allowing just four hits, no earned runs, and striking out 13.

Frankfort 11 Delphi 10 – Hector Lopez and Evan Giebel both went 2-4 in the game. Lopez homered, drove in three runs, and scored twice and Giebel doubled twice and scored twice. Kansas Varner tripled and drove in three runs.

East Noble 15 Wawasee 5 – Taylor Rich and Matt Patton both had big days at the plate. Rich was 4-5 with a double, four RBI, and two runs scored. Patton finished 3-3 with a double, triple, three RBI, and two runs. Nic Weimer was 2-3 with two RBI and three runs.

Benton Central 6 Lafayette Jefferson 5 – BC put up a run in the top of the seventh to get the victory. John O’Malley was 3-4 with a triple and three runs. Cameron Kirts drove in two runs and scored once.

Wabash 9 Oak Hill 3 – Andrew Shepherd got the complete game victory going seven innings allowing five hits, one earned run, and striking out six. Wabash had five players contribute with multi-hit games. Jordan Floor was 2-4 with a double and three RBI and Landon Cole was 2-3 with a triple, homerun, and two runs scored.

Southridge 4 Evansville Memorial 3 – Kyle Seger had a big game. On the mound he got the complete game victory striking out 15 and at the plate he doubled in the go ahead run in the top of the 7th.

Silver Creek 9 Salem 1 – UAB commit Jacob Armstrong got the win on the mound and also homered at the plate.

Corydon Central 5 Austin 0 – Chase Burton throw a complete game no hitter with 14 strikeouts.
