After back to back walks to start the inning Atlee would mound a comeback in the bottom of the 7th that would give them a 6-5 victory over No. 3 Grafton on Wednesday night.

Senior Justin Woodall would get the start for Atlee and after a shaky start would settle in and throw six strong innings for the Raiders. Tyler Cotten would get the scoring started for Grafton with a RBI single and that was followed up with a double off the bat of the pitcher and Liberty commit Trey Gibson. Atlee would escape any further damage and get out of the inning only down by two. In the bottom half Atlee would answer when Coastal Carolina commit Zachary Beach. Beach would hit a single through the left side to make the score 2-1 after the 1st.

In the top of the 3rd Cotten would once again get a ball through the left side of the infield only to be mishandled by the left fielder. The Clipper runner that was on base would score and Cotten would end up coming all the way around to score on the play, but it would all be overturned as the field umpire called Cotten out for not touching first on the appeal. That appeal would cancel both runs that scored and would keep it at 2-1 in favor of Grafton. In the bottom half of the third Atlee would take advantage of a pair of singles and a few Grafton errors and score three making it 4-2 in favor of the Raiders.

In the top of the 4th Andrew Shartzer would hit into a 6-4-3 double play that would get Grafton back within one run, making the score 4-3.

That score would hold until the top of the 7th as Grafton would capitalize on two walks to start the inning and would get both of them across making it 5-4 Clippers. Atlee would get a pair of leadoff walks of their own to start the Raider rally in the bottom half. Atlee would tie it up on a wild pitch and two batters later would score the winning run on a ball hit back to the pitcher where the Clippers would unsuccessfully attempt a double play, securing Atlee's 6-5 victory.
