While at the plate, Filippis works from a slightly wide and open stance, paired with strong hands, to drive a deep XBH over the left fielders head. With his defensive abilities along with his knack for the barrel, Filippis is a name to monitor throughout his high school career.

BREW STATE BASEBALL ACADEMY 17u
MIF Marco Falletti (Wilmot, 2023) is a name who has performed well in front of our staff multiple times. At Woodside he continued this trend has he had yet another solid performance offensively. Falletti is an aggressive swinger and defintely does not get cheated on any of his swings. In Brew State’s matchup with Silver Sluggers, Faletti collected a deep triple to the center-field fence. Consistently found the barrel today for the Silver Sluggers going 3-for-3 collecting two singles, and a deep double to the left field wall that missed home run by a matter of feet. Looked comfortable in high-leverage situations. Defensively, he looks the part of a up-the-middle defender and paired it with smooth infield actions, coupled with a strong arm.

Working quickly, Kuhnke reached highs of 88 mph and sat anywhere from 84-87 with a fastball that had major life through the zone. In his outing he was fastball dominant but he also showed feel for a tightly spun breaking ball that he was able to throw for strikes and also outside of the zone. Throughout his complete game efforts, Kuhnke allowed just three hits and punched out 10, he remains one of the top uncommitted prospects in the state.
