Brownsburg advanced in the Avon sectional Thursday night with a 7-1 win over host school Avon. Brownsburg was led by a great pitching performance from Bellmont commit Jordan Deal. 

Brownsburg got on the board first by scoring three runs in the second highlighted by Tyler Whetstone’s (2012) triple to score David Oliger (2012). Whetstone would later score on a single by Garrett Isch (2013). Brownsburg would get three more in the third off a pair of homers by Purdue commit Isaac Sampen and Oliger.  Avon’s lone run came in the third on a wild pitch to score Khristian Reynolds (2014).  Brownsburg got one more runin the sixth making the score 7-1 and that is how it stay.

Jordan Deal turned in a top notch performance to get the win over Avon.  Deal was locating his fastball, 84-86, well and it had great arm side run that really fooled the hitters.  He finished with nine strikeouts and allowed five hits and no earned runs in six innings of work.
