PBR Colorado strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

The 2nd Annual Centennial State Games will take place June 9th-12th in the state of Colorado.  Last years tournament saw 80 teams from 15U-18U take part in the first Centennial State Games, that number has grown to 140 teams this year making it one of the largest High School tournaments in the Mountain West Region.  Teams will compete in four team pool brackets on Thursday and Friday at 34 different sites.  Pool winners will move to Saturday’s quarterfinals and Sunday’s semi-finals and championship.

We are pleased to be playing at some of the finest high school fields in the state as well as partnering with the University of Northern Colorado and the Colorado School of Mines for 18U pool play on Thursday and Friday.  The 18U Final 8 Championship Round will move to Metropolitan State University on Saturday and Sunday.

Atkinson Memorial Tournament: 8.20.16 & 8.21.16

This weekend 60 teams will compete in the Atkinson Memorial Tournament at the 15U through 18U levels up and down the front range. Games will be played from Windsor all the way to Castle Rock, including 28 of the best 18U teams Colorado has to offer in the fall. 18U squads such as Slammers, Team Colorado, Rockies Scout Team, Tigers Scout Team, Batters Box, Colorado Baseball Academy, South Denver Baseball Academy, Rogue, Khaos, Lightning, Roughnecks, Post 6 (Wyoming) UA Prime, Diamond Club Select, and High School Programs Cherry Creek, Cherokee Trail, and Windsor are participating in the first year wood bat tournament.

The Tournament is a 4 Game guarantee. Games will be scouted by PBR scouting staff and reported on the Prep Baseball Report website.

The purpose of the tournament is not just to play baseball, but also give back to the Atkinson Family and the KATA Foundation. Dr. Kenneth Atkinson was a beloved family doctor in Centennial. Last April Dr. Atkinson was shot and killed while coming to the aide of a neighbor who had been shot.

Two of Atkinson's youngest children, Kendall and Taylor, died from a rare blood disorder called Fanconi anemia in their early 20's. The KATA foundation supports medical research and benefits children with special needs.

Dr. Atkinson loved baseball. PBR Colorado has decided to change the name of our Fall Tourney in honor of him and his family. A good portion of the profits will be going to the The Kendall and Taylor Atkinson Foundation. For information on the foundation Click Here
