Facebook + Periscope + InstagramWith the combination of Cosby's hits and Clover Hill's walks and errors the Titans from Cosby were able to stay in front before pulling away late for a 18-2 win at Clover Hill on Thursday.

Bridgewater commit William Flanagan would get the start for Clover Hill, facing a tough Cosby offense. Scoring started early for Cosby as senior and Virginia Tech commit Cade Swisher laced a double off the fence in deep right field to make it 1-0 Cosby. Swisher would later score on a Griffin Graham error making it 2-0 Cosby after the top of the 1st.

Senior Andrew Weight would get the ball for Cosby and after walking the leadoff batter he would get the next three in order, getting one strikeout along the way. In the bottom of the 2nd it would be all Kendall Cross that would get Clover Hill on the board. The sophomore Cross led it off with a line drive single into left center. Four pitches later he would steal 2nd and then advance to 3rd on a slow roller to 3rd. Two pitches later Cross would take home on a dirt ball read to make it 2-1 in favor of Cosby.

In the bottom of the 3rd Clover Hill would tie it up at 2-2, as sophomore Corey Adams scored from 2nd on a passed ball. With one out in the top of the 4th Joe Hall would hit a sacrifice fly to center to score Jake Mort making it 3-2 Cosby. The score would remain the same until the top of the 6th when Cosby would break it open.

Cosby would manage to score fifteen runs in the top of the 6th. Cosby would tally eight singles in this half inning alone. Those singles were accompanied by six hit batters and two errors by the Cavaliers that would allow Cosby to make the score 18-2 in favor of Cosby.

Andrew Weight threw four innings, allowed only one hit, two earned runs, and struck out six along the way.

Ethan Iannuzzi would go 2-5 with four RBI.

Zack Hoekstra was 2-4 with three runs scored.

Swisher was 2-3 with a double and three RBI.

Flanagan threw five innings, only allowing two hits, three earned runs, and struck out six.

Cross had the lone hit for the Cavaliers going 1-3 with one run scored.
