With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Crestwood Red Devils

Team Name: Crestwood Red Devils

Division: III
2018 Record: 16-10
Conference Record: Portage Trail Conference, 2-8
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/5

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Experience at Key Positions
  • Athleticism/Speed
  • Baseball IQ

Coach Outlook: "Return a solid mix of starters but have a lot to replace in pitching and middle of lineup from last year's District Runner-Up. Have a chance to make a similar run but have moved to a new District with contenders Kirtland, Lutheran West, Wellington, Trinity and Wickliffe."

PBR Outlook: Coach John Bakalar is looking for a nice mix of returning starters to help make a run come tourney time. A new district could prove to be a tough thing with some talented teams in the district.
