Crowder College 2013 Class Includes Four Missouri Players

Crowder College head baseball coach Travis Lallemand announced the signing of 17 players for the 2013 season, including three players from Missouri.

The Missouri signees include:

  • Drew Pearson, a C from Cabool HS and ranked No. 49 in the Class of 2013.  Pearson performs at a high level behind and at the plate. Behind the plate, the 6-foot-2, 185-pound Pearson has impressed with his quick feet and accurate 1.9-2.0 pop times. Pearson shows quick, athletic movements blocking, as well as soft hands. At the plate, Pearson has solid fundamentals and bat speed with legitimate power potential to all fields.
  • 3B William Mahnken from Oak Park HS
  • INF/OF Henry Tietz from Marshall HS

Posted last week, LHP Aaron Patton from Monett will also be a part of Crowder's Class of 2013. Patton has a lanky 6-foot-5, 190-pound frame, and shows the ability to throw three pitches for strikes. Coming from an over the top arm slot with short arm action, Patton’s fast ball sat an easy 78-81, and with his frame, leads us to believe there is more in the tank. Patton also flashes a 65-67 mph breaking ball with gradual movement and an effective change up (71-73 mph) with late fade. As Patton continues to fill his frame, he should see a spike in velocity as he continues to progress in college.
