No. 1 Francis Howell 13 Sedalia Smith-Cotton 3
An eight run fifth inning followed up by a three run sixth put Francis Howell over Sedalia Smith-Cotton by a score of 13-3. 

Nate Green, Calvin Munson, Jake Hellweg, and Eric Huenke led the Francis Howell offense, combining for eight hits and eight RBIs. Green led the pack with three RBIs, while Hellweg, Munson, Heunke, and Zac Perkins each drove in two. 

Smith-Cotton got the scoring started in the bottom of the second, taking an early 2-0. Ian Dotson doubled off the center field wall, scoring Chance McMullin who reached after being hit by a pitch. The next batter, Dalton Christian followed with a double allowing Dotson to cross the plate. 

Franics Howell responded by scoring two runs of their own. Nic Perkins reached base on a fielder’s choice ground out. A double by Nate Green allowed pinch runner Nate Trimble to score. The next batter, Calvin Munson drove home Green to even the score at 2-2. 

In the bottom of the fifth, Howell erupted for eight runs to put the game out of reach. Jake Hellweg led the inning off with a walk and advanced to third on a double to right field by Nic Perkins. Green collected his second double of the day, driving home Hellweg and pinch runner Trimble. Calvin Munson singled up the middle and Green came around to score, putting Howell up 5-3. Four Smith-Cotton errors in the frame would lead to five unearned runs and a 10-3 advantage. 

Francis Howell scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth, to make the score 13-3 and ending the game. 

Dylan Salsman picked up the win, throwing six innings and scattering five hits while striking out eight. 

Dalton Christian was the bright spot for Smith-Cotton, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. 

No. 1 Francis Howell 23 Waukegan (IL) 3
Josh Gwaltney and Eric Heunke each drove in three runs and Nate Green had his second big game of the day going 2-for-2 with a homerun, two RBIs, three stolen bases, and three runs scored in Howell’s route of Waukegan. Calvin Munson, and Donnie Lovelady also drove in two. Zac Perkins had a perfect 3-for-3 day at the plate, crossing the plate tree times 

No. 3 Westminster 1 Ft. Zumwalt West 0
Caleb Hicks drove in the lone run of the game, and RBI double in the top of the eighth inning to put Westminster on top of Ft. Zumwalt West. Ben Lovell had another top notch outing, allowing two hits and striking out 10 in eight innings of work. 

No. 3 Westminster 4 Ft. Zumwalt South 3
Westminster won their 34^th game in a row, defeating Ft. Zumwalt South. Davis Vanderslice threw four and two thirds innings scattering three hits and struck out four. Brett Bond and Caleb Hicks each drove in a run, and Shane Benes scored twice 

No. 10 Lee’s Summit West 19 Sedalia Smith-Cotton 0
No. 1 Class of 2014 player Alex Lange threw 42 pitches in three innings of no hit ball, striking out seven batters to shut down the Smith-Cotton offense. Lange’s over powering 88-90 mph fastball combined with his 78-80 mph slider dominated the opposing hitters. 

Lee’s Summit West put up an eight spot in the bottom of the first inning and batted around the order. Jackson Schnurbush drove in three runs in the frame with an RBI single and two RBI double. Schnurbush finished the day going 2-for-3 with four runs driven in. 

In the second, Lee’s Summit West plated another four runs on four hits, extending the lead to 12-0. 

Lee’s Summit West tacked on another seven runs in the third, highlighted by a Monte Harrison (No. 3 ranked player in Class of 2014) grand slam to left center. 

No. 11 Vianney 4 Francis Howell Central 7
Troy Newell scattered 8 hits over six innings striking out seven and allowing two earned runs in Francis Howell Central’s upset of Vianney. Newell also helped himself with two hits, as well as Connor Faron who also had two hits. Ryan Howard had two hits, including a homerun

Kyle Robillard led the Nixa offense, going 2-for-3 with a RBI double in the first inning and a three run home run in the second. 

Nixa wasted no time getting on the scoreboard in the first inning. Brock Hammit drew a two out walk and scored on a Blade Keller single. Keller came around to score on Robillard’s double. 

Six runs crossed the plate in the second. After a leadoff single by Grayston Scott and a walk to Tristian Ridenour, Jacob Carlson singled to right field scoring Scott. Ridenour advanced to third and Carlson to second after Evan Roberts reached on an error. Brock Hammit’s sacrifice fly scored Ridenour followed by an RBI single by Blade Keller scoring Carlson. The big blow of the inning came off of the bat of Robillard, with his three run blast, putting Nixa up 8-0. 

Nixa scored another run in the third after a Carlson sacrifice fly and scored their final run in the sixth on an RBI single off the bat of Scott Meinhardt. 

Staley 2 Lee’s Summit North 1
Brian Regan’s RBI single in the third and a fielder’s choice groundout by John Oliver was enough to put Staley on top of Lee’s Summit North. Austin White threw four innings of one hit ball to pick up the win.

Jay Kauffman 3-for-3 with two RBIs, Taylor Darting three hits, two RBIs, Andrew Hutchinson three RBIs. 

Truman 11 Ft. Osage 5
JT Hayes had a three run homerun and Lane Titus finished with two doubles and a triple to lead the Truman offense. In total, Truman collected 15 hits on the afternoon
