The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Here is a look at the action from around the state.

Cherry Creek 12 Bentonville West AZ 4
The Bruins came out hot scoring 5 in the in the first inning and never looked backed on Thursday.  The Bruins were led by; Brice Martinez (2019) who was 3 for 5 and knocking in 3 runs, and Ben Perla (2020) who was 1 for 2 and had 3 RBI’s.

Chaparral 6 Piedra Vista NM 3
Chaparral was trailing in this game on Thursday 3 to 2 after 4 innings, but then in the bottom of the 5th, they exploded for 4 runs and went on to win 6 to 3.  Chaparral’s Bryce Matthews (2019) had a great day at the plate going 1 for 3, scoring 2 times, driving in 2 runs, and going deep for his first home run.  

Valor 13 Deer Valley AZ 7
Valor was trailing this game 7 to 4 going into the bottom of the 5th, and then scored 5 in the 5th and another 4 in the 6th to beat Deer Valley on Thursday.  Valor was led by; Joey Bush (2020) who just went crazy at the dish, going 3 for 3, hitting 2 bombs, driving in 4 runs, and scoring 3 times himself.

Legacy 4 Ralston Valley 3
Legacy pushed across the winning run in the bottom of the 6th inning on Thursday to beat Ralston Valley.  Macully Sehr (2021) had a day at the plate going 1 for 2 and driving in 3 RBI’s for Legacy.  For Ralston Valley AJ Jergensen (2019) went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

Regis 15 Dakota Ridge 5
This game was tied 5 to 5 after 2 innings, but in the bottom of the 3rd the Regis Raiders exploded and put up 6 runs and then added another 4 in the bottom of the 6th to beat Dakota Ridge.  For the Raiders, Mark Perchiazzi (2019) had an amazing day at the plate going 3 for 3, launched a bomb and drove in 5 runs.  

Broomfield 10 Brighton 0
Broomfield came out hitting it and pitching it, and dominated Brighton on Thursday.  Broomfield pitcher Preston May (2019), Trevor O’Brien (2021) and Tommy Valdes (2021) combined to pitch a 1 hitter to go along with 6 strike outs.
