Daily Roundup 4-6-17

It's April, we will quickly see baseball teams shift into league mode, here is a look at action from around the state.

Daily Roundup:

Regis 11 Smoky Hill 4
Down 3 to 1 after the first inning, the Regis Raiders exploded for 6 runs in the 2 inning and went on to beat the Buffalo’s 11-4.  Cam Kennedy (2019) for Smoky Hill had a nice game at the plate going 2 for 4 and scoring a run. 

Rocky Mountain 14 Cherry Creek 13
After the first inning the Lobos were up 4 to 0, and then the Bruins put up 8 runs in the top of the 2nd, at led the game 10 to 9 after 4 innings.  Rocky in the bottom of the 6th put up 2 runs to take the lead, but the Bruins put up a 3 spot in the top of the 7th to go back on top 13 to 11.  In the bottom of the 7th Rocky Mountain put up 3 runs to win 14 to 13.  The Lobos were led by, Spencer Gendreau (2017) who had a HR with 4 RBI’s, and Kalen Hammer (2018) who also had an HR, went 2 for 4 with 5 RBI’s. 

Valor 1 Erie 0
Valor scored the winning run in the bottom of the 5th. The pitching for Valor was amazing, Josh Danyliw (2018) pitched 5 scoreless innings allowing just 2 hits while striking out 10 hitters, and Luke Ziegler (2018) finished the final 2 innings allowing no hit to go with 4 K’s.

Bayfield 11 Pagosa Springs 4
Bayfield put up 4 runs in the 3rd another 5 and 2 runs respectively in the bottom of the 5th and 6th, to beat Pagosa Springs.

Legacy 7 Brighton 4
Legacy scored 5 runs in the top of the 2nd inning and never trailed beating Brighton 7 to 4.  Legacy was led by Colby Deaville (2017) went 1 for 4, with a home run and 2 RBI’s.
