Michael Sebby allowed just one hit in 6⅓ innings and hit a home run in the victory. Sebby’s solo homer in the bottom of the fourth gave Glenbard East the lead for good. He struck out 10 and walked three before giving way to Ryan Schefske, who got the final two outs for the save.
Rockford Boylan 7, Marian Central 6
Sam Rinaldo went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI, including a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh playing Alex Ciaccio with the winning run. Rinaldo gave Boylan an early 3-0 lead witha three-run homer in the first. Griffin Stankiewicz struck out three in 1⅔ innings of scoreless relief to earn the win.
Nazareth 11, Stagg 0
Shane Gipson and Carson Bartels hit home runs and Chris Campagna allowed three hits while striking out seven in the five-inning victory.
Cary-Grove 6, Schaumburg 1
Mark Smith and Tyler Pennington had two hits apiece and Daniel Schmidt and Ben Dolezal allowed a total of five hits while striking out 10 for the Trojans.
Lincoln-Way Central 8, Bolingbrook 4
Nick Podgorny went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBI in the victory. Cam Post had two hits and Chad Tucker drove in two runs for Lincoln-Way Central.
Benton 2, Salem 0
Levi Pearce pitched a three-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk for Benton.
Lakes 11, Waukegan 1
Stephen Mogged and Ben Milewski had three hits each and combined to score five runs. Max Swiatek doubled twice and drove in three.
Bloomington 12, Rantoul 7
Chris Knotts went 3-for-3 with three RBI and Aidan Cossio added three hits for Bloomington. Brad Graybill had two hits and drove in two for Rantoul.
Sacred Heart-Griffin 8, Pleasant Plains 2
John Plattner went 3-for-3 and Brian Zanger did not allow an earned run in five innings for Sacred Heart-Griffin.
Montini 13, Westminster Christian 3
Jake Rosley went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and Nicholas Malik homered for Montini in the five-inning victory.
Illiana Christian 5, Shepard 2
Daniel Lyzenga’s three-run triple in the second inning gave Illiana Christian the lead for good. Kevin Carmody had an RBi triple for Shepard.
Glenbrook North 8, Holy Trinity 5
Winning pitcher Michael Oh struck out 12 in 4⅓ innings and Jordan Kaplan went 2-for-3 with two RBI for Glenbrook North in the five-inning victory.
Midland 7, Lexington 6
Pinch-hitter Isaac Keturi drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh to win it for Midland. Mitch Martin went 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs for the Timberwolves, who scored three in the sixth to take a 6-4 lead before Lexington tied it in the top of the seventh.
Athens 6, Decatur St. Teresa 3
Winning pitcher Jake Nance struck out eight in three scoreless inning of relief and Dalton Fletcher went 2-for-4 with two RBI for Athens.
