The Mustangs lept out to a 17-0 lead after the 2nd inning by applying pressure to Solorio's defense and drawing out at-bats. Mundelein walked six times in the first two innings and only had two hits in their seven-run 1st. Ryan Patel and Ben Holly each drove in three runs in the win to help the Mustangs get to 3-0 to start the season. | ||||

Glenwood walked off on Sacred Heart-Griffin by a score of 6-5, thanks to an RBI single by Kyle Werries in the bottom of the seventh inning. Glenwood tied the game up at five in the bottom of the sixth inning when Nolan Rooney delivered an RBI single. Rooney and Graham Bender finished with two hits for Glenwood. Drew Detmers picked up his first win of the year, twirling 4.1 innings of shutout baseball out of the bullpen for Glenwood. Detmers struck out two and scattered to hits. Pete Soehnlin paced the Sacred Heart-Griffin offense with three hits. |

A 10-run 3rd from the Mustangs really locked things up early. St. Rita recorded eight of their 12 hits in the 3rd, including Frank Napleton's two-run single. Napleton and his brother Luke combined to drive in five runs against Oak Lawn to help bring St. Rita's record back to .500 at 2-2. |

The Eagles are 2-0 now after their 11-1 win at home on Wednesday. Dunlap sprung to a 6-0 lead after the 1st inning when eight Eagles reached base in the inning. Myles Burke was reached base four times and had two RBIs and Luke Miller was 2-for-4 and drove in three runs. | ||||

Bengals starter Andrew Hoffmann pitched five shutout innings, allowed just one hit and one walk and struck out 10 batters to help lift Plainfield East to a 5-0 record in 2018. Joey Fox was 2-for-3 and drove in three runs in the win. | ||||

The Red Devils and Romeoville went back and forth late before Central took the 3-2 lead in the 7th, where it stood. Simon Lane started for Hinsdale and scattered four hits across five innings, allowed just one run and struck out four. Four errors in the game for Romeoville allowed for Central to hang around and take the lead late and earn their second win of the season (2-0). | ||||

Five runs between the two teams in the 7th made for a dramatic finish on Wednesday at Salem. Salem starter Nate Roth threw six innings and allowed three runs, only one earned, on two hits and a walk and struck out five. Benton scored three runs in the 7th once Roth was removed to take the lead to 6-2 before they fended off an admirable comeback effort by the Wildcats late. Hamilton Page homered for the Wildcats in the loss and drove in four runs. | ||||
