Day 3 Notes: Team Carolina takes on Team Georgia

Prep Baseball Report

Team Carolina continued action on Friday and Saturday at the PBR Future Games.  Set into the Southeast Pod, Team Carolina rolled out of the game vs. Team Florida to face Team Georgia on Friday and Team Mid-Atlantic on Saturday.  An estimated 375 college coaches were inside the LakePoint Sports complex each day to see all the action.  While there were some ups and downs for the Carolinas Team, there were players that shined in their moment in the spotlight.  Game notes on players are below.


Game 2: Team Carolina vs. Team Georgia



The catching tandem of Mayson Dear and Tagger Tyson continue to shine for Team Carolina.  Possibly the best throwing tandem at the Future Games, each backstop has continued to show advanced carry with an easy transition, and accuracy between innings and vs. live base runners.


Mayson Dear (C, Union Pines HS (NC), 2023) - Mayson has really stood out defensively all week long. Moves well and is athletic behind the dish. Has great agility and action while blocking balls in the dirt. The one area that has really stood out for him this week has been his arm and accuracy. Consistently in the low
