MALIBU, CA – The Desert Oasis Diamondbacks took their show on the road this weekend, playing at the picturesque Pepperdine University. On Friday in their first contest, they defeated Gahr High School of Southern California 9-2.  The Diamondbacks are loaded with Division 1 commits, Aaron Roberts (2019), California; Parker Schmidt (2019), Oregon; DJ Jefferson (2019), Southern California; Campbell Holt (2019), Southern California; and Josh Sharman (2019), Nevada-Las Vegas.  Roberts and Schmidt each doubled in the contest, and Schmidt had three hits. Zac Czerniawski (2019) and Colby Smith (2020) doubled as well, Czerniawsksi off the top of the fence just missing a round tripper.  Czerniawski has put together a tremendous fall and reamains uncommitted at this point.  Keep a close on the Diamondback shortstop, he may not be around much longer.
