Today’s April 1 and the high school season is underway.

The PBR Wisconsin team wrapped up the high school showcase season by putting on two of its biggest events of the preseason: the South Milwaukee Preseason I.D. and the Madison Preseason I.D. Naturally, there’s a lot to unpack at those two events. We also published our West Milwaukee Preseason I.D. position-by-position analysis in addition to our loaded WIAA preseason previews, breaking down our top-25-ranked teams.

Sophomore Winter Standouts: Stevens Point right-hander Logan Schulfer impresses at a Wisconsin event by sitting 86-89 mph with aggressive offspeed.
Freshman Winter Standouts: From rural, northwest Wisconsin, the Turtle Lake righty Brendan Strenke visited the Madison showcase a few weeks back and displayed an added seven ticks of velocity since we saw him last summer. Now, the lean and projectable freshman is able to run it up to 89 mph and has a compelling case to be at or near the very top of the Class of 2022 rankings, when they’re released.
Our national staff released the Class of 2019 overall rankings and six prospects from Wisconsin are representing on the list.
