Cayden Hatcher
PBR Florida Assistant Scouting Director

Heading into the 2023 FL JUCO baseball season, we wanted to highlight some names to know for coaches and scouts to follow. Plenty of Draft prospects and impact transfers hit the Florida JUCO ranks this fall. Take a look at some names to know.

Potential 2023 MLB Prospects

Anthony Fernandez

6'0" 205 lbs. LHH- OF

Athletic frame with present arm talent from the outfield, and a plus hit tool. Tough out at the plate with a very good understanding of the zone.

JeanPierre Ortiz

6'0" 175 RHH-SS-RHP

Elite set of hands with a twitchy swing that generates a lot of power for his frame. Plus arm across the diamond to go with his fielding ability. Feel for a three-pitch mix on the mound, featuring a fastball that can reach the mid-90s.
