FL Power25 Update: Week 7

The 2023 high school baseball season has completed its seventh week of games. Each week we will update our Power25 HS Rankings with Risers, Fallers, and Newcomers to the rankings. We look forward to covering high school games this spring and hearing your feedback on who you think should be ranked where. Take a look at our Week 7 update.

Week 7

Risers

#7 North Broward Prep

Despite a tough loss to #2 Stoneman Douglas, North Broward has continued to show they’re one of the top teams in South Florida. Five wins in a row including wins over Gulliver Prep and Trinity Christian.

#11 Benjamin School

Benjamin continues to roll this spring as they approach the top ten. Twelve wins in a row outscoring opponents by 113 runs. The Bucs have proven themselves this spring and can be a dangerous team in the playoffs.

Fallers

#21 Mitchell

Mitchell dropped two games in Week 7 and now sit at 13-6 on the season. The Mustangs failed to score a run in their two matchups, losing 2-0 to George Jenkins and 2-0 to Seminole.

NR Creekside

Creekside drops out of the Power25 after an 0-2 record in week 7. Losses to Trinity Christian and North Marion, the Knights were outscored 17-4 this past week.

Newcomers

#25 Island Coast

The Gators make their first appearance in the 2023 Power25 at #25 this week. They sit 16-2 on the season coming off a most recent win over a talented Lakeland team.
