As we continue to roll out our breakdowns of the Preseason All State and get ready to kick off our spring coverage with the PBR Preseason Classic, we wanted to take a look back at the most highly viewed articles for January of this year.  This month is unique, because sitting at the top spot is our Preseason All State Live Broadcast. This is something we plan to do at the Preseason Classic as well as high school games throughout the year. #2- Elite Squad Prospect Games Standouts

This past weekend one of the top organizations in the nation, Elite Squad, held their 2018 Summer Tryouts/Prospect Games at Nova Southeastern University for players from the 2019-2022 classes. Over a three day stretch which included bullpens, pro-style workouts, and scrimmages, the 300+ participants were able to showcase their skills to earn a spot on the Elite Squad roster for this coming summer.

#3- Preseason All State Event Preview

Bradenton, FL—This Saturday, Jan. 27, 100 of the top high school prospects ranging from the 2018-2021 classes will participate in PBR Florida’s second annual Preseason All-State which is the premier kickoff event for the 2018 spring high school season. Last year’s inaugural event boasted some of the top talent from throughout the state of Florida and this year’s event will be no different. From draft talent, numerous Division I recruits, and some of the top uncommitted underclassman in the state, this Saturday will be a can’t-miss event at IMG Academy. Let’s take a look at who’s coming along with some details about the event.

#7- Preseason All State Trials: Breakdown and Invitees

Altamonte Springs, FL- This past weekend players from the 2018-2021 classes were in attendance at Lake Brantley HS for the 2018 Preseason All-State Trials. Position players participated in the 60 yard dash, infield/outfield, and batting practice on the field. Following the pro-style workout, pitchers threw bullpens.

#9- FTB Standouts

FTB held their 2018 summer team tryout on January 4th and 5th for the 2019-2022 classes. These tryouts consisted of pro-style workout and games. We had a scout in attendance on Saturday and today we take a look at those players who stood out.

#10- Florida Catching Core

The Preseason All-State events throughout the Prep Baseball Report give an early indication of players who have made jumps in the off-season as well as presenting others as players to watch closely during the spring. Florida’s Preseason All-State event is jam-packed with talent this year. The Sunshine State is always reloading with the top players in the country. This week, On the Hunt, takes a look at seven catchers from the state who either stood out in the fall or are key players to watch develop this spring.
