The 2024 High School season is underway. Each week, high school coaches around the state will be nominating players for Pitcher and Hitter of the Week. We will choose the top four nominees for Pitcher and Hitter and let the public vote on a Twitter poll. Players who were nominated but not chosen for Pitcher or Hitter of the Week will be highlighted in a Diamond Notes article on Tuesday.

Pitcher of the Week: Week 8

Nicholas Rovitti RHP / William T. Dwyer, FL / 2024 Rovitti threw a No-Hitter in a win over Boca Raton last week. He went all seven innings allowing no runs and no hits. He struck out twelve and only walked two. Week 8 Stats: 7 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 12 K
