FL Underclass Games: Quick Hits

The Underclass Games is one of the premier underclass events in the state. Over the last year, there have been 29 commitments from the 2018-2020 classes with 23 of those being to Division I programs. Past events have featured players like Jackson Miller (Wake Forest), Juson Fabian (Florida), Brandon Walker (Florida State), Ryan McCauley (Tennessee) and McGwire Holbrook (West Virginia) to name a few.
This year’s event is filled with talented, uncommitted players from the 2019-2021 classes. Today we take a look at a few highlightls on the day.
+ 2019 RHP Mitchell Leroy worked 86-89 striking out four in his two innings of work.
+2021 LHP Casrten Finvold worked back to back 1-2-3 innings striking out two
+2020 C Matthew Menendez showed solid defense behind the plate and had an RBI double in the game
+2019 OF/INF Dawson Place has a lot of tools and projects wel. Had an RBI single in the game
+2019 INF Luis Ruiz had an infield single and stole four bases on the day
+2020 RHP Jaden Bruno worked 84-86 mph early and struck out two in two innings
+2020 LHP Ryan Bruno worked 83-85 touching 86 mph, a lot of upside and struck out two in two innings
+2020 LHP Mason Miller has a great frame and works 82-84 mph, striking out two in two innings.
+2019 C Jakob Runnels consistently found the barrel and had an RBI single in the game
+2019 C Ray Torres, LSU recruit, shows a lot of quick twitch with 1.94 pop time and a double to right-center field in the game
+2020 INF Jacob Lojewski is stocky and solid defender who constantly hit the ball hard with a double in the game.
+2020 OF Ian Farrow has an athltic projectable frame and power potential with a double in the game
