Fall Player Spotlights: Isaak Crittenden

This Fall PBR Arkansas is highlighting a couple of the top uncommitted prospects from the 2023 class to a handful of talented 2025's.  Today we take a look at the projectable right-hander Isaak Crittenden.  Crittenden stands at an athletic 6-foot-2 and 180-pounds a shows strong pitchability with a mid to upper 80's fastball and showing a swing and miss lower 70's curveball.  He pitches with good tilt and arm side run on the fastball making it difficult for hitters to get on the barrel.  He will also mix in a mid 70's change up with fastball hand speed giving him a very solid three pitch mix.  Crittenden continues to make jumps each time we see him and should be a prospect to circle back on for schools at the next level.

Player Spotlight

Isaak Crittenden: RHP/3B, (2023) Gentry, AR. 6-foot-2, 180-pound lean proportional frame. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a long quick arm action with uninterrupted slot. Athletic solid on the mound, had a long loose arm action and an over-the-top arm angle with quick consistent arm speed. Feel up-tempo type pitcher and shows easy effort. Showed athletic consistent balance point with in line even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 80-82 mph; showed some tilt action and command around the zone down in the zone with straight movement. (Max spin 2006; Avg 1862). Threw a 11/5 curveball (69-70) that showed both sides of the plate down in the zone control and slight late action. (Max spin 2019; Avg 1922). His changeup (74-75) has gradual fading action and arm side around the zone command.

Arm:  Long quick arm action, uninterrupted slot, consistent accuracy.

Pitching: Athletic solid. Feel up-tempo delivery, easy effort. Over-the-top arm angle, quick consistent arm speed, long loose arm action. Athletic consistent balance point, in line even shoulders, lands square, an athletic falling off finish.

FB: T82. 80-82 mph. (Max spin 2006;  Avg 1862). Around the zone down in the zone accuracy, some tilt action, straight movement.

CB: 69-70 mph. Both sides of the plate down in the zone command, slight late action, 11/5 shape. (Max spin 2019; Avg 1922).

CH: 74-75 mph. Arm side around the zone control, gradual fading action.

6-Foot-0, 150-Pound frame, projectable build with frame for strength, ran a 7.60, Offensively; open set, narrow base, leg lift to stride, barrel rhythm, barrel cocke at foot strike, backside leverages to front, slight lean back to clear barrel, big extension, uphill finish, pull side power, 75 mph exit velo, Defensively; active feet, sink into left leg to field, fingers down to field, funnel to midline, long stroke, pure carry, 80 mph arm strength.

Pitching; over the top slot, quick arm speed, long and loose arm action, good balance point, easy effort, smooth rhythm, level shoulders, athletic finish, short glove arm, closed toe land, repeats delivery, fastball 76-78 mph, sink with angle to arm side, curveball 69 mph, 11-5 shape, sharp with short break and late action to plate with fastball arm speed, change up 67 mph, fastball arm speed, arm side run in zone.
