Florida Fall Select: Day 1 Scout Blog

The PBRT Florida Fall Select kicked off in Bradenton, Florida with action all day from the 16u and 18u Divisions. The tournament will last two days with each team getting 4 total games. Today, we will take a look at our Scout Notes from Day 1 at the Florida Fall Select. See who stood out to our PBR Florida Scouts.
Day 1 Scout Notes
Alexander Berinato RHP / 1B / Palm Harbor University, FL / 2022Rankings StateRank: 250 / POS: 65
Uncommitted 2022 right hander. Berinato impressed throwing 3 pitches for strikes with repeatable mechanics and knows how to pitch. Good ride on his FB with tons of swing and misses which mixes well with a good bender. Pitches with intent

McCall Biemiller LHP / OF / Jesuit, FL / 2024One of the top southpaws in the 2024 class. Biemiller showed good stuff Saturday, gets quick at times but overall repeatable mechanics. Breaking ball works well off the FB and has good late action. FB: 80-84 T85

Tyler Boyesen OF / Spruce Creek, FL / 2025Lean, athletic frame. Boyesen is short to the ball and stays down through it with good extension. Line drive approach with power potential to the pull side.

Jack Clark OF / 3B / Jesuit, FL / 2024Rankings StateRank: 110 / POS: 24
Athletic build. Good speed with quick twitch explosion. Good approach to go with a compact swing, resulted in balls being barreled up all day. Good defender in the corner OF spots as well.

Recent Saint Leo commit showed a gap to gap approach with the ability to launch on contact. Quick to the ball with a fluid swing.

Kodi Deskins C / OF / Clearwater Central Catholic , FL / 2023Loose swing from the right side with great barrel control. Line drive approach using the whole field collecting multiple hard hits on the day.

Jack Earnest OF / 2B / Jesuit, FL / 2024Rankings StateRank: 83 / POS: 18
Exceptional athlete, can do it all on the baseball field. Calm, advanced approach at the dish with an explosive swing, runs well, good defender in the OF, and even hit 85 on the mound with an above average curveball.

Fosnow is a physical athlete who recently committed to Northwest Florida State College. Showed simple, quiet approach at the plate. Attacks the baseball with good extension showing the ability to spray the ball gap to gap. |
Grayson Gibson LHP / 1B / Calvary Christian , FL / 2024Athletic southpaw with a strong lower half. Like the upside on the mound showing a loose, athletic arm up to 81 mph. Offensively, shows mature actions in the box with a gap to gap approach.

Jayden Harriel 3B / 1B / East Lake , FL / 20242021 Future Gamer put together an impressive showing Saturday with multiple long extra base hits. Shows an ability to launch on contact with power potential to all fields. Lets the ball travel and uses above average bat speed to drive the ball with intent.

Daniel Irizarry OF / RHP / Lake Mary, FL / 2023Lean, athletic frame. Mature approach in the box with a loose line drive swing. Lets the ball travel and uses an up the middle approach.

Jace Kohler SS / RHP / Calvary Christian, FL / 2024Calm, confident demeanor on both sides of the ball. Slow load, explosive to the ball with quick hands. Great defender at SS, makes difficult plays look easy. Strong, accurate arm. Energetic player.

Austin Liss OF / 3B / Steinbrenner, FL / 20255-foot-10, 155 pounds. A lot to like in this 2025 two-way who really impressed on the mound Saturday. Loose, athletic arm with not much effort in the delivery. High spin FB up to 2500 rpm with feel for the breaking ball. FB: 80-82

Cameron Mallo SS / 2B / Hillsborough, FL / 2024Former Junior Future Gamer. Athletic middle infielder that has continued to add physicality to his frame. Mature approach at the plate putting together multiple hard fought at bats. The added physicality will allow him to tap into his power potential creating an extremely high offensive ceiling.

Landen Maroudis SS / RHP / Calvary Christian, FL / 2023Maroudis continues to show elite two-way tools. Was an extra base hit machine driving multiple balls into the gaps and to the warning track. The NC State commit continues to excel at the dish with above average bat speed and electric hands.

Max McClusky 3B / SS / West Orange, FL / 2022Rankings StateRank: 241 / POS: 17
Physical athletic frame. Shows a disciplined approach and gets hands through the ball. Uncommitted 2022 bat with upside.

Mason McDaniel LHP / Seminole (Sanford), FL / 20226-foot-4, 170 pound southpaw. McDaniel did a nice job attacking both sides of the plate with a FB/SL mix. Not overpowering but mixes speeds well to generate ground balls and swings and misses. FB: 82-84 |
CJ Moore OF / RHP / Clearwater, FL / 2024Tall, athletic build. Uses levers to create power. Covers ground in the outfield with a strong throwing arm to boot.

Nick Monile OF / Calvary Christian, FL / 2022Rankings StateRank: 220 / POS: 37
Monile continues to be a big time in game performer. Stays simple at the dish with a barrel tilt load. Consistently on the barrel producing hard line drive contact.

Max Murray 3B / RHP / Winter Springs, FL / 20252021 Junior Future Gamer continues to show an advanced hit tool for his class. Hands are quick and loose as he is able to use both gaps to his advantage. Definitely a 2025 to follow.

Nicholas Riedel RHP / 3B / Carrollwood Day, FL / 2025Riedel stays back and keeps the hands inside well. Uses an up the middle approach with a level line drive swing creating hard contact to both sides of the field. Drove in multiple runs on the day.

Dylan Taft C / 3B / East Lake, FL / 2025Taft showed well on both sides of the field Saturday. Behind the plate, Taft worked through the ball with a quick transfer and accurate throw to nab a would be base stealer. Offensively, gets in a good hitting position and stays on time and on the barrel.
