Florida State Games Preview: 17u

On June 1st-4th, 2019 at IMG Academy, the Baltimore Orioles Complex, and the Atlanta Braves Complex, PBR Florida will host the 2019 Florida State Games. This years event features 60+ teams from 14U, 15U, 16U, and 17U divisions. The event will feature four pool play games followed by single elimination bracket-play until the first champion is crowned. Today we take a look at some of the teams in our 17U division as coaches submit their team previews along with players to watch and pitching rotations.

We have Athletic and Fun players that just love to play to go along with a very young coaching staff. We are going to come in and compete every game. We are actually missing a lot of guys from up north that are finishing up school but I'm excited to see who will step up this weekend. We will win by committee, meaning everyone on this team can contribute something special to this team to help us.
But top 2 things to watch this weekend with us is
1. Combo of Jackson Huguley (6'4 235), Corbin Shaw (6'2 215), and Jimbo Brown (6'4 220) in the middle of the order. These 3 guys could hit a ball out at any time against anyone they face.
2. Jacob Howell RHP and Anthony Figueroa LHP both Uncommitted will be on the bump against Ostingers Monday morning. Jacob Howell has been 87-91 from the right side and Anthony Figueroa has been 88-92 from the left side.

He should be back by end of season from surgery. This is our first tournament of the year, with only 3 days practice, after 4 core players winning the TN State Championship.
