With the 2019 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting in January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2019 Spring Team Preview: Franklin Monroe Jets

Team Name: Franklin Monroe Jets
Head Coach: Tyler Rhodus
Division: IV
2018 Record: 12-10
Conference Record: Cross County Conference, 7-5
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 3/2

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Pitching

Coach Outlook: "We graduated 6 seniors who were all starters from last years team. This is my first year as the head coach at FM. We are going to be inexperienced and fairly young. I am very pleased with the number of guys we have had coming to off season workouts and have been encouraged by the progress that we have made. The guys are excited and come each day ready to improve. If we can keep this mentality I am excited to see the improvement over the course of the season."

PBR Outlook: Coach Tyler Rhodus is looking to put his stamp on the program in his first year at the helm for the Jets of Franklin Monroe.

  • Tim Lawson, 3B/LF, 2019, 6-1/190, 2yr starter
  • Larkin Ressler, MIF, 2019, 6-0/170, 1yr starter.
