Ft. Zumwalt West Seniors Moving On



Ft. Zumwalt West has had a successful year, largely due in part to a senior class with five seniors already committing to play college baseball. Zumwalt West has posted a current record of 16-7.

SS Colton Howell has committed to Nebraska. Howell leads the Gateway South Coference with a .500 batting average, with one homerun, eight doubles, one triple, seven stolen bases and sixteen RBIs. Howell also has four saves and has struck out seventeen batters in nine and a third innings of work.

RHP Daniel Gabler will be heading to Washburn. On the mound, Gabler is 3-2 with a 1.31 ERA, surrendering only six runs in thirty-two innings pitched.

LHP/1B/OF Tommy Hager has committed to Austin Peay. Hager has posted a 3-2 record thus far. Hager has an ERA of 2.26 in thirty four innings pitched and has struck out twenty seven. At the plate, Hager is hitting .284 with three doubles and two triples.

C Andrew Madison will be staying close to home, attending Maryville University.

1B/OF Kyle Thurman will be going to Missouri Western. Thurman is hitting .306 with nineteen hits, which include four doubles, two triples, and one homerun.
