2014 Top Performances

+Cody Mobley, RHP, Mount Vernon HS: Last year as a senior, Mobley made a statement at the Hoosier Holiday Showcase by sitting 90-91 with his fastball and showcasing a plus 78-81 mph slider with sharp break.  His performance earned him an invite to the Super 60 in February where he was once again 90-91 and increased his draft stock.  Mobley was drafted last June in the 8th round by the Seattle Mariners.

+Dillin Diehm, 1B/3B, Garrett HS: As a senior, Diehm attended the Hoosier Holiday Showcase and showed once again that he was one of the top left-handed hitters in the state. He showcased present power to his pull-side with the ability to drive both gaps and recorded a high exit velocity of 91 mph.  Diehm's performance earned him an invite to last February's Super 60 Pro Showcase.  Diehm is currently a freshman on the Indiana State baseball team.

+Wyatt Schwing, C, South Dearborn HS: Schwing attended last year's Hoosier Holiday Showcase as a Junior and was the top ranked catcher at the event.  He presented a strong, muscular frame at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds and showed good blocking and receiving skills along with a strong, accurate arm behind the dish.  He registered a top pop time of 1.98.  Schwing also excelled during his BP performance displaying a quick bat with pull-side pop from the right side of the plate.  Schwing is signed to play at Cincinnati next fall.

+Blake Walker, RHP, Chatard HS: As a Junior, Walker came into the Hoosier Holiday showcase at 6-foot-5, 205 pounds.  He showed a long, 3/4 arm action with good arm speed and easy effort throughout his delivery.  At the event he pumped his fastball up to 88 mph.  Walker is signed to play at Northern Illinois next fall.

+Myc Witty, LHP, Lawrence North HS: Last year's Hoosier Holiday Showcase was the first time we saw Witty up close, and he was as good as advertised.  Though he was only 5-foot-10, 150 pounds at the time, he showcased tons of pitchability with a quick, loose arm action, easy effort and good rhythm.  At last year's event he was 81-83 with his fastball showing heavy action.  He threw his off-speed for strikes with lots of movement.  Witty is currently a freshman at Lincoln Trail, where he's rumored to be up near 88-89 with his fastball.
