CENTRAL STATE 8

No. 20 Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin 4, Rochester 2
SHG (7-1, 4-0) defeated Rochester behind Clayton Taylor and Matt Richey. Taylor homered and drove home two runs and Richie fanned 11 in his three-hit masterpiece.  

Chatham Glenwood 4, Springfield 2
Chatham Glenwood (6-0, 4-0) rallied past Springfield (3-3, 2-2) in Springfield. Trailing 2-1 in the top of the seventh. Jake Ryan’s RBI single tied the game at 2-2 and later in the inning, Matt Sakardi tripled, plating two Titan runs to give Glenwood a 4-2 lead. Titan closer Kyle Hall slammed the door on the Senators, nailing down the save for Sakardi (2-0) who allowed two runs and four hits in his solid six innings to pick up the win.  

Lincoln 16, Decatur Eisenhower 9
Lincoln (3-3, 2-2) won a slugfest over Ike in a CS8 game in Decatur. Ryan Thomas had four hits, falling a homer shy of hitting for the cycle and plated four Railsplitter runs. Cooper Hake singled, homered and had three RBI. Trevor Stout had two doubles and drove home four, for Decatur Eisenhower (1-5, 1-3)

FOX VALLEY CROSSOVERS

No. 13 Prairie Ridge 9, Crystal Lake South 6

Prairie Ridge (5-1, 1-0 Fox) outslugged the Gators behind Hunter Martin who had two singles and drove home three Wolves runs. Cal Aldridge fell a triple shy of hitting for the cycle with a single, double and a homer.
