Indiana Recruiting Notebook

Several prospects have named their schools over the last month.

Maverick Bacon, MIF, North Montgomery HS, 2015: Bacon is ranked No. 14 in Indiana's class of 2015 rankings and recently committed to Ball State University.  Bacon was a participant in last summer's Top Prospect Games. 

Zack St. Pierre, LHP/OF, Noblesville HS, 2014: St. Pierre recently committed to Marian University. Pierre will look to be a two-way player at Marian.  St. Pierre has attended multiple PBR events including October's Unsigned Senior showcase.  

Brady Cherry, 3B/C/RHP, Lapel HS, 2015: Cherry is ranked No. 6 in Indiana's class of 2015 rankings and will be headed to Ohio State University.  Cherry was a member of Team Indiana in last summers Midwest Future Games.

Nick Butcher, MIF, New Palestine HS, 2014: Butcher recently committed to Anderson University. Butcher attended the 2013 Underclass Showcase at Indiana Wesleyan. 

Tyler Garzinski, 1B/DH, Plainfield HS, 2014: Garzinski is committed to Purdue North Central. The left-handed hitter attended 2013's Preseason All-State showcase in Indianapolis. 

Jon Knies, OF, Franklin Central, 2014:  Knies is committed to Roosevelt University.  Knies attended the Hoosier Holiday Showcase last winter and the Unsigned Senior showcase last October. 

Hunter Smith, C/3B, Plainfield HS, 2014: Smith committed to Indiana Tech last month.  He was a participant in 2012's Preseason All-State showcase. 

Connor West, LHP, Huntington North HS, 2014: West committed to Huntington University.  He is currently ranked 104 in Indiana's class of 2014 rankings.
