PBR: Why did you choose Malone?
Kilner: I chose Malone because i felt at home when I first walked on campus. The coaching staff was very welcoming and it was the right fit for me academically.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Kilner: Walsh and Ashland
PBR: Where did the coaches first see you compete and how did your relationship develop with the rest of the coaching staff?
Kilner: The coaches first saw me play this high school season. My relationship grew with the coaching staff instantly after I met them.
PBR: What role does the coaching staff expect you to play during your first year on campus.
Kilner: The coaching staff expects me to come on campus and compete for a starting job.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Kilner: My dad has had the biggest impact on me. He has coached me my whole life and has motivated me to become a better player and person.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most exciting experience playing summer ball?
Kilner: I play for the Lake Erie Warhawks. My favorite experience was playing at Vanderbilt this past summer.
PBR: What were your stats this season?
Kilner: .375 batting average 19 singles, 10 doubles, 1 HR, 23 RBIs.
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher you have faced in Ohio?
Kilner: Ryan Feltner from Walsh Jesuit
