PBR: Why did you choose Miami?
Jacobs: I chose Miami because I love the school, and I feel that I can excel there in all levels.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Jacobs: I was considering Eastern Michigan, Ohio State, Walsh University, and Denison.
PBR: Coach Hayden is in new era at Miami. How does it feel to be a part of the Redhawk family?
Jacobs: It feels amazing! I have always wanted to attend Miami, and now being able to be a part of the baseball program is truly a blessing.
PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals individually as you prepare for your senior season?
Jacobs: Obviously my goals are to improve in every possible way I can in the game of baseball.
PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program?
Jacobs: It is truly a blessing and I cannot thank the people who helped me get where I am today enough.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Jacobs: I play for Release Baseball. By far, the most memorable memory this summer was placing 9th overall at the PG WWBA 17u National Championships.
PBR: What person has the great impact on your baseball career and why?
Jacobs: My dad. He is always there when I need to talk about baseball, and is always open to giving me advice.
PBR: What were your stats last spring season?
Jacobs: .311 BA with 9 doubles and 2 triples.
PBR: Who is the best pitcher that you have ever faced?
Jacobs: Chris Machamer. Kid is a stud.
