Inside the recruitment: 2015 Cody Scroggins Middle Infielder Commits to Arkansas

PBR: Ultimately, why did you choose the University of Arkansas?

Scroggins: One of the top programs in the country. I always wanted to play in top conference (SEC). My recruiting process was great and I love the staff. As a kid from Arkansas it has always been a dream to be a Razorback and play in front of 8,000 fans. 

PBR: Where did they first see you compete?

Scroggins: My sophomore year in high school

PBR:  When did you take your first official visit to the University of Arkansas?

Scroggins: September 20th

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?

Scroggins: To compete for playing time

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Scroggins: None. Committed my sophomore summer year

PBR: Who did you play for this summer? Talk about your experience playing for them.

Scroggins: Arkansas express

I have played with them for 3 summers. We competed in some high level tournament that helped me get ready for the next level. Coach Greg Baxendale really understands the game and helped with my baseball approach.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?

Scroggins: My brother, Chris 

PBR: What were your high school stats last spring?

Scroggins: .380 batting avg., 20 SB, 17 inning with 1.64 era
