Junior Spotlight: OF/2B Frankie Jezioro

The one tool that is becoming more difficult to find by the year is foot speed. Frankie Jezioro, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound OF/2B from Peters Township HS is not a prospect that lacks in that area though. The switch-hitter runs a 6.63 60-yard dash and shows ability from both sides of the plate. He is currently much stronger from the right side of the plate, but shows the athleticism to continue developing the left side to better utilize his foot speed.
Jezioro is best suited to be an outfielder at the next level. He showcased a 78 mph arm during an October workout in West Virginia. Jezioro showed capable actions in the middle infield as well at the same workout, but his foot speed would best be utilized chasing down fly balls.
Currently ranked No. 29 in the PA Class of 2015, Jezioro was named to the World Underclass All-Tournament team in Fort Myers this fall, going 6-for-11 while swiping four bases as a member of the Chandler Baseball National Team.
Jezioro is just one of a growing roster of talented prospects that will display their talents at the Preseason All-State Showcase in February. The Junior appears primed for a breakout junior season and is one of the highest ranked, uncommitted Class of 2015 prospects in the state.
