Risers

There are always players that make impressive jumps between rankings that really standout as the move up the board. Here are just a few of the top ranked and biggest movers from this update.

Cole Pladson OF / RHP / Clay Center , KS / 2025

Pladson put up eye-popping numbers this spring and continued proved he was the real deal this summer with an exclamation point at this year's Future Games where he had two more bombs against elite arms. The left-handed hitter has emerged as one of the top long ball threats in the country and a well above athlete in the outfield as well. Pladsons power production has moved him up 14 spots to No.2 in this rendition of the rankings.

Brad Janes RHP / OF / De Soto, KS / 2025

Janes has seen his velo and packability skyrocket in recent months. The right-hander throws multiple pitches from multiple slots for strikes with the over the top fastball sitting in the upper 80s. Janes also showed he could get top hitters out by cruising through two innings at this year's future games. The DeSoto product is up 16 spots and into the top 10 this time around.

Phoenix Thompson 3B / RHP / De Soto, KS / 2025

After battling through some minor injuries this summer, Thompson made a statement at this year's Future Games where he closed the door on one of the best offenses at the event, featuring a fastball into the upper 80s and arguably the best off-speed offering at the event in his splitter.

Cooper Grace 3B / 1B / Hayden, KS / 2025

Grace is a high end competitor that put up loud numbers on both sides of the ball for Hayden this spring, but really grabbed our attention where he ran his FB up to 90 in his pen the the Building Champions Scout Day. Cooper is an excellent defender (especially at 1B) and shows national level blast motion metrics with the bat. Grace is up nearly 40 spots to 13 in this rankings.

Trey Weixeldorfer RHP / OF / Blue Valley North, KS / 2025

Its all about the projection with Weixeldorfer. The 6-foot-7 right-hander has flashed velos into the upper 80s and has consistently proven he can get outs in pressure situations against high-end hitters. The sky is the limit for the long right-hander. Weixeldorfer is up 25 spots in this rankings, and could continue to rise quickly.

Newcomers

We constantly strive to see as many players as many times as possible so it is always exciting when we see a player for the first time who makes a splash into the rankings. Below are some of the top ranked newcomers to the rankings.

William "Holden" Groebl C / OF / Blue Valley North , KS / 2025

The ability to hit all levels of pitching in all situations with juice really stands out every time we see Groebl play. He jumps in to this rankings at 21 after a loud and steady spring and summer. As Groebl continues to polish his game behind the dish, he is becoming a must see prospect.

Jack Sells RHP / 3B / Blue Valley West, KS / 2025

The physical 6-foot-2 180-pound righty shows a fastball up to 86 that jumps on hitters paired with a firm swing and miss slider. Sells attacked the zone in both of our looks and got swings and misses in the zone.

Peyton Gosch RHP / 1B / Kapaun, KS / 2025

We have only got eyes on Gosch once, but his pen at the Wichita Open was impressive. the 6-foot-2, 190-pound right-hander sat in the mid 80s with his fastball averaging over a foot of arm-side run. Goshch has much more in the tank as he continues to polish his delivery and is an arm to watch.

Karston Wall SS / RHP / Bishop Carrol Catholic, KS / 2025

Wall is has a smaller frame but continues to get more quick twitch and shows off impressive measurables. Wall's athleticism translates to the mound as well where he shows off a fastball up to 84. As Wall's athleticism will allow him play at a high level as he continues to polish his skills.

Eli Dean OF / RHP / Perry-Lecompton , KS / 2025

The small school athlete shows bat speed from the right-handed batters box (74 mph on Blast) and arm speed from the OF and on the mound (85 mph) that allow Dean a high celling on both sides of the ball.
