Power 25 Scores and Highlights

Male 5, #1 Trinity 3
Nolan Hood allowed just 2 hits and 3 runs over 4.2 innings as Male knocked off the defending State Champions. It was Trinity’s first loss of the season.

#3 McCracken Co 11, Carlisle Co 1
Cameron Willis went 2-for-2 with a triple and RBI, Eli James and Jude Farley both had 2 hits, and Scout Moffatt went 2-for-3 with a RBI in the rout. Daniel Higdon had 5 K’s over 3 shutout innings for the win.

#5 Owensboro Catholic 7, Daviess Co 2
Sam McFarland went 3-for-4 with a double, Brady Atwell went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, Braden Mundy had 2 hits, and Luke Evans had a RBI triple in the win. Hayden Ward allowed 1 run in 4 IP on the mound. Decker Renfrow went 3-for-4 with a double in the Daviess loss.

#7 Paducah Tilghman 10, Graves Co 0
Zion LaGrone went 2-for-4 with a HR and 6 RBI, and Jaylen Seay had 2 hits in the rout. Seay also worked 4.2 innings allowing 1 hit with 7 K’s for the win.

Newport Central Catholic 5, #9 Covington Catholic 1

#10 Lafayette 15, Hudson (OH) 1
Braden Kettenring went 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI, Owen Jenkins went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, and Cam Napier went 2-for-3 with 4 RBI for the Generals. Burkley Bounds worked 5 innings for the win.

#11 Lyon Co 15, Crittenden Co 11
Gunner Bingham went 3-for-4 with a HR and RBI, Brody Williams went 2-for-3 with a HR and 2 RBI, and Eli Baker worked 4 hitless innings with 3 K’s as Lyon County climbed out of an 11-2 hole to come back and win.

#12 Ballard, 16, KCD 1
Kevin Moore went 3-for-3 with a double and 5 RBI, and Tony Byrd had 2 doubles and drove in 5 runs of his own in the Ballard rout. Mason Newland picked up the win with 6 K’s in 4 IP.

#14 Beechwood 20, Roosevelt (MI) 4
Cameron Boyd went 2-for-3 with a HR, Brice Estep went 2-for-4 with 4 RBI, Ben Meier went 3-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI, Jackson Roseburrough went 3-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI, and Mitchell Berger went 2-for-2 with a double in the rout.

Lexington Catholic 10, #17 Mercer Co 9
The Knights scored 6 runs in the 7th for the big comeback win. Baylor Woodall went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, Zach Grigalis went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI, Harry Tibe had 2 hits, and Griffin Cameron  doubled and drove in a run. Issac Beasley went 3-for-4 with a double in the Mercer County loss.

#18 Apollo 8, Muhlenberg Co 2
Aiden Wells went 2-for-2 with a RBI, Harrison Bowman went 2-for-4 with a double, Will Strode tripled, Nick Judd and Joshua Mayes each doubled and drove in a run, and Dayton Brown had 2 RBI. Kadin Ray doubled and homered in the loss.

#19 Tates Creek 11, Great Crossing 2
Isaac Tencza went 2-for-4 with a HR and 2 RBI, Jacob McDonald went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI, Braxton Brinegar went 2-for-4 with a triple and RBI, and Jamison Craig went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI. David Castleberry allowed 2 runs on 2 hits and struck out 6 over 5 IP for the win. Peyton Harris doubled, homered and drive in 2 runs in the Great Crossing loss.

Josh Haury went 2-for-3 with a triple and 3 RBI, Bryce Patterson went 2-for-3 with a triple and RBI,and Brandon Rankin homered and had 2 RBI. Collin Sims allowed just 1 hit and had 7 K’s in 4 IP.

#25 Eastern 9, South Oldham 3
Ben Brown doubled twice and had 2 RBI, Ryan Welch went 2-for-4 with a triple and RBI, Ethan Elmore had 2 hits, and Brayden Nettles went 2-for-4 with a RBI. Henry Craig picked up the win with 5 IP and 2 ER with 4 K’s.

Non-Power 25 Highlights

Henry Clay 8, Springboro (OH) 3
Ben Taylor went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, and Tyreeon Monger went 2-for-2 with 3 RBI in the Henry Clay win. Giancarlo Gonzalez allowed just 4 hits and 3 unearned runs with 10 K’s in 6 IP for the victory.

CAL 10, Nelson Co 0
Nicholas Britton hit 3 doubles and had 3 RBI, Noah McCarty went 2-for-3 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI, and Jack Perdue went 2-for-3 with a HR and 3 RBI. Jacob Price struck out 10 over 5 IP for the win.

North Oldham 8, Glenbard West (IL) 1
Chance Edmonds went 2-for-3 with a double, Chase Edmonds had 2 hits and a RBI, and Ryan Julich drove in 3 runs. Chance Edmonds also picked up the win allowing 1 unearned run with 8 K’s in 6 IP.

Pulaski Co 12, Southwestern 0
Jace Frye went 3-for-4 with a double, HR, and 4 RBI, Mason Acton went 3-for-4 with a double, HR, and a RBI, and Brady Cain went 4-for-4 with a RBI in the rout. Braden Hampton picked up the win allowing no runs in 3 IP.

Shelby Co 8, Anderson Co 5
Hunter Cook went 2-for-3 with a HR and RBI, Kemper Whisman homered and had 3 RBI, Carter White went 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI, and Foster Whisman and Freddie Stohlman each had 2 hits. White worked 6.1 innings with 6 K’s and 3 ER allowed for the win.

Collins 9, Spencer Co 2
Donavin Carroll went 2-for-3 with a double, Bradley Williams had 2 RBI, and Bradley Ruble drove in 3 runs. Carroll also went the distance on the mound, allowing 3 hits and 1 ER with 15 K’s.

Elizabethtown 4, South Warren 0
Jordan Price went 3-for-3 with a double and RBI, and Greyson Hainer went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI to lead the E-Town offense. Reed Sherrard fired a CG, 2-hit shutout with 6 K’s.

Josh Snorton went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and a RBI, Preston Phan went 2-for-2 with a double and RBI, Jacob Jenkins doubled and had 3 RBI, and Elijah Underhill doubled and drove in a run. Gage Montes allowed just 2 hits with 7 K’s in 6 IP.
