MI: Q and A with Judson Commit Parker Barnett (Faith Baptist HS)

By Brent Alwine

PBR Michigan Scouting Director

Parker Barnett, 2014, Faith Baptist

PBR - Why did you choose Judson College? What do you plan to study in college?

Barnett - My family and I really talked about it a lot and we decided that Judson was the right place. I felt like Judson was the place where I could grow the most as a player and as a person. Coach Benjamin is a great guy and I feel like he can really help me out as a player and person. I plan to study business.

PBR - What other schools were recruiting you?

Barnett - I received interest from Trinity Christian, Grace, Cornerstone, and Albion.

PBR - What are your goals for the season ahead as a team and personal?

Barnett - To lead my team to a third straight conference championship would be number one. It is also my goal this year to have more than 100 K's with an ERA under one and to bat over .600. I am also going to be the best leader I can be to my team and the underclassmen.

PBR - What is your most memorable moment in baseball?

Barnett - My most memorable moment in baseball was throwing a no-hitter in the conference championship game as a junior.
