On Saturday, February 29, Prep Baseball Report - Missouri/Kansas held the MOKAN Preseason All State Showcase event at the Urban Youth Academy in Kansas City. Roughly 60 of some of the top prospects in the state were in attendance, representing the 2021-to-2022 classes.

Shortly after the event’s conclusion we published an instant analysis story, highlighting the top statistical performers from the event. We slowly rolled out our position-by-position breakdowns over the last week and you can find each of them by clicking on their respective links: C, OF, INF, P

Today we’ll finish our event coverage with a look at the top overall prospects from this event. At the top of the list is Dylan Dreiling (2022; Hays). A Tennessee commit, Dreiling is a top-ranked prospect in Kansas’ 2022 class and falls inside the top 150 in the updated 2022 national rankings. Dreiling is an uber-athletic outfielder with advanced defensive actions and he put together one of the more impressive batting practice rounds of the day.

Two other national ranks find themselves on this list: Cooper Kelly (2022; Blue Valley Southwest, Kansas commit) and Blake Reeder (2022; Shawnee Mission Northwest). The top-ranked shortstop in his class, Kelly is a sure-handed, true switch-hitter that will stick up the middle in some capacity moving forward. Still uncommitted, Reeder brings a physical 6-foot-3, 210-pound frame with easy power to his pull-side. He profiles best as a third baseman, where he’ll have no problem handling himself defensively.
