MPB Fall Classic Upperclass All Tournament Team

The inaugural MPB Fall Classic took place at the brand new Creekside complex last weekend in Kansas City. Top teams from nine different states throughout the Great Plains and Midwest were in attendance with over fifty schools on hand to take in the action along with Missouri Scouting Director Kevin Moulder and Andy Urban. There was no shortage of prospects to cover, leading to over 100 players being spotlighted individually on Twitter. Below is the Upperclass All Tournament Team
Catcher
Gehrig Christensen, C, Iowa Sticks, 2021
Body: 6-1, 175-pounds.
Hit: LHH. Open setup, shows body control, repeats swing well, clean path, consistent line drives, shows ability to use both gaps.
Power: 93 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Arm: RH. C - 86 mph. 1.94-2.01 pop times. Above avg. arm strength, accurate, above avg. carry on throws.
Defense: Square setup, solid receiver, good flexibility, quiet athletic actions.
Run: 6.84 runner in the 60.
First Base

Liam Moreno, 3B, GRB Rays National, 2021
Right-handed hitter, premium bat, hits from a slightly open stance, subtle stride, clean fluid load, consistently on time, maintains strong balance throughout. Path is compact and repeatable, exceptional feel for the barrel, consistently makes hard contact in game play, ball will jump off the bat and projects for above average power for his size. 95 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively fits at third base or in the outfield, hands work cleanly out in front, gets to release efficiently. Arm plays at 78 mph across the diamond and accurate. 6.98 runner in the 60.
